The Beck pottery was created around 1750. The company is now run by Richard Beck, his wife and three daughters, Hรฉlรจne, Marie and Caroline, who have brought their own modern touch to the business while continuing the tradition.
The company moved 20 years ago to a new 5,000m2 production unit, which has allowed the rationalisation of production and the development of new colours and shapes in parallel with the traditional Soufflenheim pottery. The 250m2 shop is very spacious and functional to showcase the original creations. The mastery of the gesture and the inventiveness of the Beck family allow them to create shapes and decorations of traditional and ethnic inspiration (stork decoration, fiesta decoration, oriental tajine...) and thematic decorations are available all year round (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter...).
The pottery has a large car park for cars and buses.
A visit to the exhibition village, entirely created by Richard Beck, is a must!
The Beck pottery invites you to immerse yourself in its singular universe which will delight you with its richness and inspiration.

The Ernewein-Haas family, masters of art potters from father to son, has always been established in Soufflenheim and has been shaping the clay of the Haguenau Forest for centuries and through the ages. The majority of the pottery is still turned by hand using ancestral methods, with the handles added one by one to facilitate a good grip, and the whole thing is meticulously decorated by hand, with taste and refinement, with motifs, shapes and varied colours in the pure Alsatian tradition.
Jean-Louis works in the pottery workshop with his son Jonathan, who will take over in a few years. Each of their creations is unique.
The potter produces ollas, water diffusers made of clay. This is an ecological, economical and easy-to-use watering system. Another of his specialities is the single or double 'multi-talent' dish, which can be used to cook chicken, and why not beer, by adding liquid through an opening, which ensures that it is always tender and juicy. But this dish can also be used to make duck with orange or brioches.
You will also be able to discover a new original collection in bright colours, designed by Harmonie Begon, a graduate of the ร‰cole des Arts Dรฉcoratifs in Strasbourg.

The Friedmann pottery is one of the oldest potteries in Soufflenheim, the first traces of its existence date back to 1802.
For 7 generations, the pottery has maintained the traditions of a family business. The potter, Joseph Pfister, joined the family by marrying the daughter Sabine.
He remains faithful to the teachings that his ancestors have passed on to him over the years. Thus, the manual shaping and the attachment to the Soufflenheim clay taken from the Haguenau Forest, motivate him in his work.
The pottery offers a range of 7 colours and 11 designs, a very wide range of culinary, refractory and decorative pieces.
For some time now, a new, more colourful collection with fruity, sparkling and trendy designs has been available.

Marie-Ange and Jacky Graessel come from a line of potters from Betschdorf that goes back more than 6 generations. They settled in Soufflenheim in 1984. They produce handmade stoneware (high fire at 1280ยฐC) in a wide range of coloured glazes.
The production is mainly made of handmade stoneware and most of it is made by throwing. The other part is made by sizing, to ensure the regularity of the shapes of the pieces, which will be part of a service, such as goblets, plates, cups and other salad bowls.
Potters make many unique pieces and their decorations are very varied. They are in constant contact with their creations and no defect can escape them.
The craftsman offers you a colourful tableware to mix and match according to your desires for a playful and bohemian everyday life.
Compose your own tableware and choose the colours from a palette of 20 shades. A pottery that gives you a boost!

Richard Hausswirth handed over to his nephew Christian in January 2018, who perpetuates this art of clay and fire for the manufacture of his culinary and decorative pottery. The models are made on the spot in the workshop, in the purest tradition of Soufflenheim pottery, the clay is extracted directly from the nearby Haguenau forest.
It is also possible for visitors to discover the clay pit in the workshop's cellar.
The pottery offers a wide range of products: moulds, terrines, dishes, crockery, decorative items... but also all sorts of miniature clay animals. There is something for everyone!
The latest creations: chicken dishes for perfect cooking and ollas, water diffusers made of clay.

The Lehmann pottery has existed since 1888 and the two young and dynamic potter sisters, Sylvie and Kathia, took over the activity of their forefathers a few years ago. They have managed to preserve the tradition, while giving a new lease of life to their creations, which can now be decorated with dots or circles, with new colours. Their espresso cups are all the rage, as is their new collection of green tableware!
But tradition is still present and can be found in the floral decorations or with the traditional storks.
There is no lack of choice to please: Baeckeofe dishes in all sizes, serving dishes, lamb or kugelhopf moulds and all in various colours.

The pottery was created in 1870 and is one of the oldest potteries in the village. It offers a traditional and authentic production. Michel the potter makes his pottery in the purest tradition and has not changed anything in the way his father or grandfather worked.
For example, the sizing is still done in a purely traditional way: plaster moulds are placed on an eccentric wheel to make the shape of the ellipse (oval, round). He is the last potter to use this method.
One of the potter's specialities is the Osterlammele (Easter lamb), to make this very light and fluffy biscuit, which is delicious for breakfast or with coffee.
In the shop you will find pottery in traditional colours and designs.

The pottery has existed since 1842 and has been run by the same family for 6 generations. Pierre Siegfried is constantly looking for modernity while respecting traditions, in order to adapt to the modern needs of households and to offer products that are easy to use and maintain.
The pottery has succeeded in preserving a traditional art form through the ages, using new technologies and adapting to the needs of regional and international customers.
Today, the Siegfried-Burger & Fils pottery is reinventing traditional pottery with a new, more contemporary, refined and powerful range inspired by nature, the earth and the mineral world.
Several innovative products have come out of the workshops in recent years, such as the mini-koug and the maxi-koug, the double pot, the chicken sombrero and more recently the "Activaterre" worm composting bin, a 100% ecological terracotta flat object guaranteed to be plastic-free.

The potter Michel Streissel has entirely reconstructed a wood-fired kiln and is the only one today to fire part of his production in a traditional kiln.
This firing takes place over 2 days. The kiln consumes 6 stรจres of fir to reach a temperature of 1100ยฐC.
Beyond the nostalgia of the cooking methods of the past, the identical reconstruction of an old-fashioned wood-fired oven takes us back into the spirit of our ancestors.
A spirit of conviviality, festivity and "bon vivre" around the firing of the pottery, the apotheosis of the last stage of production.
In the shop you will find a wide variety of pottery made from Soufflenheim clay, including the famous
These include the famous "Holzschuhmรคnnele" (little clogs) and the potter's latest innovation: the Calaveras!

Peggy Wehrling took over the pottery founded by her father in the 1980s in 2002. She combines tradition and modernity. She likes her tableware to be useful, to tell you a story and to give you that dรฉjร  vu feeling.
Through her pottery, she wants to make you want to use it, for example the pottery bowls, which have an old-fashioned shape that we are no longer used to seeing, but which are very contemporary in colour, or the "kougelhopf" type cake moulds, which are made in different ways depending on the season or the annual festival, as tradition would have it.
At Peggy's, you can find a whole bestiary among her moulds: rabbits, lambs, fish, frogs, imaginary creatures straight out of Alsatian legends, and for each one, the potter tells you with passion the stories that are attached to it!
At the same time, she is open to new creations such as the skull in a kougelhopf mould.

Les Grรจs Remmy produces handmade and artistic ceramics. It is the oldest family business in France. Created in 1594, originating from the French Ardennes, they settled in Betschdorf in 1820, because this kaolinite which accepted vitrification with salt was found there. Between tradition and modernity, they produce Raku ceramics and primitive firing, the results of which oscillate between metallic coppers and orange tones. Mentioned in the guide du routard published in 2017.

Family-run workshop, producing genuine Alsatian salt stoneware for 7 generations. The pottery, both utilitarian and decorative, is entirely made in their workshop.
The firing process, characteristic of Betschdorf's production, gives the pottery its authenticity. This is where all their know-how is expressed.
The salt glazing makes the pieces waterproof and unalterable. The pottery is of excellent food quality.
